Who is Middow?
Middow is a property management company that offers budget short, mid and long-term rentals in the heart of Melbourne. Founded by a Taiwanese-Brazilian who first arrived in Australia on a working holiday visa 9 years ago, Middow is built on the belief that everyone deserves a smooth start in a new country. We proudly welcome first-time renters and support them throughout their journey in Australia.
What is included in my rent?
All bills, including electricity, water, hot water, gas, unlimited fast internet and a hassle-free renting experience! π
Bills are included up to a fair cap, in most homes $50 per person a month ($250 for the house). Most homes never reach it. If a bill does go over, only the extra is split evenly between housemates, for example a $300 bill shared by five people costs each person $10 more. The exact cap for your home is in your agreement.
What documents do I need to apply for a house?
Ever applied for so many places and never heard back? New to the country and don't have all those Australian payslips and rental histories real estate companies ask for? At Middow, all you need is a valid passport with more than 12 months until expiry, a bond of 2 to 4 weeks' rent, depending on your agreement, and 2 weeks of rent in advance. Love a tranquil lifestyle and a clean environment? Then you're good to go!
When would my bond be returned to me?
At Middow, we love a timely bond refund! If the property is left undamaged by the end of your tenancy, a bond refund will be initiated directly back to your bank account within 3 business days.
